Why We Collect This Data — Our Legitimate Business Interest
MKC Construction & Engineering collects personal and traffic data to operate and grow a legitimate contracting business. Specifically: (a) Contact information (name, phone, email) is collected so we can respond to project inquiries, prepare estimates, and communicate with prospective and current clients. Without this information we cannot provide quotes or coordinate services. (b) Website traffic data (page views, session duration, referral sources, device type) is collected to understand how visitors find and use our site, which pages generate the most interest, and how we can improve our online presence and marketing effectiveness. This data helps us allocate our marketing resources, identify the services most in demand, and ensure our website communicates clearly to the homeowners and property owners we serve. Collection is limited to what is reasonably necessary for these purposes.
How We Use Your Information
We use collected information to: (a) respond to your project inquiries and provide estimates; (b) communicate with you about your project, schedule site visits, and coordinate services; (c) improve our website, content, and user experience based on traffic patterns; (d) measure the effectiveness of our marketing and understand which services drive the most interest; (e) comply with legal and accounting obligations. We do not use your information for marketing unrelated to MKC's construction and engineering services, and we do not profile users for advertising purposes.

Information submitted through our contact form or chatbot is stored securely in our internal lead management system. This data is accessible only to authorized MKC personnel involved in estimating, project management, and client communication. We retain contact and project records for the duration of our business relationship plus a reasonable period for legal and accounting purposes — typically seven years, consistent with Florida contractor record-keeping requirements.

We have configured GA4 with IP anonymization enabled. We do not use GA4 remarketing features or share GA4 data with other Google advertising products. We Do Not Sell Your Data
MKC Construction & Engineering does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third parties. Period.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services that may process your data: Google Analytics 4 (website traffic analytics — see section above); OpenAI (chatbot responses — conversation data may be processed by OpenAI per their privacy policy at openai.com/policies/privacy-policy); Calendly (optional appointment scheduling — governed by Calendly's privacy policy); Vercel (website hosting — server logs may contain IP addresses and request data per Vercel's privacy policy). Each third-party service has its own privacy policy governing its use of data.
Data Security
We implement reasonable security measures including HTTPS encryption for all data in transit, access controls limiting who can view lead data, and secure hosting through Vercel. No internet transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of data transmitted to our site. Children's Privacy
Our website is directed to property owners and businesses seeking construction and engineering services. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
